Now with Less Kinja!
And might be following my check engine (P007B) light story on the FieSTa... Dealer has looked at it (got an appointment this afternoon last-minute) they say they have confirmed that the sensor is working correctly, or at least it’s responding as expected in the tests they did. Nothing else seems to be wrong either, this means its probably a wiring issue, or possibly an ECU failure. They say the parts of the harness they can get to witout pulling stuff apart all seem fine. They want me to bring it back tomorrow and leave it for the day. They say they can’t authorize a warranty-covered rental until they have a firm diagnosis, and they are out of loaners :P
Thankfully the GF is off tomorrow, I just hope they can figure it out in one day, otherwise i’ll be without my car this weekend :(
I kind of hope it IS the ECU, because atlest that would be covered by waranty, a wiring issue is more of a gray area, they could spend 6-hours pulling the harness apart to discover a mouse chewed something (little bastards) and then charge me 6-hours of dealer rate labor and deney warranty :P
grrrr.
Of note: the car is definitely in dead-recconing mode now. It’s not full-on limp-mode, as it still will still build boost, but the throttle response is slower than usual and my economy (according to the computer) after filling my tank at lunch is only 22MPG. ooof.

Oh Christ. I'll fix it when I get home, not worth even trying in mobile. :P
